Troubleshooting Fetching Changes

If you see Error fetching changes in zone ... :client knowledge differs from server knowledge, update to the latest version of Expenses first, then try the steps below.

iOS/iPadOS

  1. Restart your device
  2. Update Expenses to the latest version
  3. In Expenses, open SettingsSync
  4. Open Diagnostics and check whether there is any warning or error related to iCloud, your Apple Account, or sync status
  5. Tap Force fetch all data from iCloud
  6. If the error continues, tap Force push all data to iCloud from the device that has your latest data
  7. Delete the app and reinstall it
  8. In Expenses, open SettingsSync
  9. If needed, open Diagnostics again and confirm the warning is gone before continuing
  10. Tap Force fetch all data from iCloud

macOS

  1. Restart your Mac
  2. Update Expenses to the latest version
  3. In Expenses, open SettingsSync
